Luigi Giordano | Brut Nature Rosé '20
Luigi Giordano | Brut Nature Rosé '20
The winery was established by Giovanni Giordano in 1930 when the Italian wine world was not doing well. Giovanni’s son, Luigi soon took over and boldly decided to vinify his own fruit when Barbaresco had no reputation. Today’s winery remains a spirited family effort, driven by the shared vision of Luigi himself, his daughter Laura, and his grandson Matteo. Together, they produce timeless wines from vineyards planted in some of Barbaresco’s most prestigious crus, including Asili and Montestefano

Farming/Winemaking: sustainable farming, hand-riddled, hand-disgorged méthode champenoise. The bottles are stored horizontally at 14°C in order to stimulate the secondary fermentation, or ‘tirage.” A controlled temperature is fundamental to the formation of small, compact bubbles.
Tasting Notes: A celebratory bubble. A bright tartness that will make your back taste buds tingle with joy, finished with a nice addition of funk from the lees to give it some depth. Thirst quenching fun.
