Clos des Vignes du Maynes | Les Crays Rouge '23

Viticulture: Organic since 1910 when it was run by monks and no chemicals were available, then officially so in 1952 when the Guillot fam took over. Julien, the grandson, made it biodynamic certified and eliminated the use of sulfites for his reds. Hand harvested, fermented in wooden tanks with alternating layers of de-stemmed and whole-cluster grapes for two weeks then pressed. Aging happens in wooden vats for two months then bottled without fining, filtration or sulphur.
Tasting Notes: A fresh Bourgogne red with floral and red berry aromatics. Bright, earthy fruit on the palate with mineral savoriness and a hint of spice.
